Filter Selection

Final filter selection must be confirmed against the task, SDS and regional requirements. As a practical offshore baseline, A2P3 is commonly used for general maintenance and hydrocarbon work, while ABEK‑P3 is used for acid gas/CO₂ systems and specialty chemical operations (task-specific).

  • Painting & coating: A2P3 (common offshore baseline)
  • Chemical handling / solvent cleaning: A2P3
  • Breaking into hydrocarbon systems / contaminated maintenance: A2P3 (task-dependent)
  • Acid gas / CO₂ systems, amines, specialty chemicals (production installations): ABEK‑P3 (task-specific)
  • Mercury: typically task-specific for high-risk activities (not routine PPE); select per site process and risk assessment
