Fireground exposure isn’t limited to firefighters on the hose. Pump operators, incident support crews, logistics teams, air crews and investigators all work in contaminated air — often after the fire is “out”. Smoke particulates, toxic combustion by‑products and vapours can’t be seen, but exposure adds up fast. The job demands mobility, heat tolerance and fast don/doff – respiratory protection has to be easy to wear.

Two CleanSpace options.

Built for different tasks and exposure profiles.

CleanSpace CST ULTRA

Data-driven insights for investigators and extended support tasks where hazards go beyond dust.

  • Lightweight, compact design (<500 g) with no belts or hoses
  • Compatible with particulate and combination particulate + gas/vapour filters (task-dependent)
  • SMART App connectivity for device monitoring
  • Insights reporting to support safety oversight, compliance and usage visibility across teams
  • IP 65 Rating: Resistant to dust and liquid ingress
  • AirSensit® breath‑responsive positive pressure

CleanSpace EX

Intrinsically safe PAPR for high-risk zones and volatile atmospheres.

  • Lightweight, compact design (<500 g) with no belts or hoses
  • Intrinsically safe certified (ATEX/ETL) for potentially explosive atmospheres
  • Compatible with particulate and particulate/chemical filters (task-dependent)
  • IP 66 Rating: Resistant to dust and liquid ingress
  • AirSensit® breath‑responsive positive pressure

Best suited for: fuel handling areas, hazardous stores, volatile environments, and any task where intrinsic safety is required

Designed for Fire & Incident Support

CleanSpace PAPRs are built for real-world movement — climbing on vehicles, working around equipment, carrying loads and moving between hot, smoky and ‘clean’ zones.

AirSensit® Technology

AirSensit® syncs with the wearer’s breathing to maintain positive pressure inside the mask — improving comfort and helping increase compliance during long, physically demanding shifts.

No belts. No hoses. Less hassle.

Fast don/doff, less snag risk, and easier kit management — designed for teams who need to move quickly and stay operational.

Filter Selection

Filter choice depends on the task, materials burned, and the site SDS/incident risk assessment. Use the relevant regional filter selection guide to confirm final selection.

  • Smoke particulates / ash / soot: P3 / HEPA particulate filters
  • Overhaul / clean-up where irritant gases may be present: combination particulate + gas/vapour filters (task-dependent)
  • Formaldehyde or other specific vapours during investigation work: select the appropriate combination filter per region and assessment
  • Potentially explosive atmospheres: CleanSpace EX with approved filter selection (including AX where required)
